Sunday 18th October 2020
2020 celebrates the 90th Anniversary of the MG Car Club and here, in the South East, we celebrate the occasion with two road runs totaling (nearly) 90 miles!
The two runs take place in the Western and Eastern parts of the Centre’s area so everyone should have a chance to take part. They are organised, in the same way as the recent Autumn Meeting, to ensure they are as COVID safe as possible. The Car Runs will be organised as Touring Assemblies, held in compliance with the Government’s COVID-19 restrictions and requirements and defined within Motorsport UK Events Guidance.
Eastern Run: The start point is the Hampton Inn at Hampton Pier, Herne Bay, and travel across country, linking seven windmills (and one Watermill) to the finish point at the Minnis Bay Bar and Brasserie in Birchington. Refreshments will be available at the start and upon arrival at the finish take-away meals will be available to eat on the beach (pre-order).

Western Run: The start and finish points are at The Owl Pub in Kingsfold near Horsham and the run explores the lanes and villages of the Low Weald. Coffee and baps are available at the start and a meal at the Finish if required (Pre-order only).

The runs are approved with regard to current MSUK and COVID regulations but are subject to cancellation or change should Government guidance alter before the event is scheduled.
Entry is £5 per car and completed entry forms must be submitted prior to the event. THERE WILL BE NO NEW ENTRIES ON THE DAY. Drivers will be allocated time slots to leave the start points to avoid too many cars in the car park. Face Masks must be worn in all indoor areas and if there is any congestion. Groups of a maximum of six must be adhered to.
