The Alternative PoO for 2024 has been completed on a sunny evening at The Fairmile in Cobham. A strong turnout of MGS competed in the third and final round and once all the scoring had been tallied up there were some overall winners from the whole event.

THE OVERALL WINNERS
CAR OF THE EVENT – Jon Glover – MGCGT with 44 points
RUNNER UP – Roger Gasson – MGTD a close second with 43 points

Round One of this year’s Alternative PoO took place at the Fox & Hounds in Walton on the Hill on a pleasant Summer’s evening – a drastic change from all the bad weather we have been experiencing recently.
The field to the back of the pub was used to park the MGS and there was a good selection from the 1930s to the 2020s entering.
The Overall winner was Jon Glover with his restored MGC GT.
Ian McCullough in this MG TD was the Best All Rounder.
Gareth Evans won the Most Used class with his MGBGT.
Chris Redhead was the winner in the Best restored Class.

Round Two was at the Surrey Oaks in Newdigate on the 22nd JUne and there were 14 cars entered on another warm Summer’s afternoon.
The Overall winner was Jon Glover, once again, with his MGCGT.
Adrian Malthouse with his MGA was Best All Rounder.
Mick Breare with his MG YB won the most used class.
The Best Restored went to Chris Redhead once again with his MGB.
