Chairman’s New Book

An extremely valuable addition to any enthusiast’s library

MG enthusiast Magazine

I enjoyed it immensely, thanks for writing such a good book

Andrew Philips

The Centre’s Chairman, Tim Morris, has just published a new book on the MGF & TF. As you may be aware his main MG passion has been for the MGF and he has been a member of the MGF Register committee for over 20 years including stints as Chairman and President. He is no stranger to publishing as he produces a quarterly print magazine for the MGF Register, FasTForward, which was first published in 2005 and, although it will be ending next year, has racked up 75 issues.

This is his first foray into book publishing and it has been professionally produced by Amberley Publishing. The intention is a one-stop history of the MGF & TF for anyone unfamiliar with the MG World with a potted history of MG as a whole, a more detailed look at the rise and fall of the MGF/TF ending with a social section and a “best of” Buyers Guide. All within 100 pages and illustrated with around 100 photos, mostly drawn from the author’s own collection.

Tim at the Book Launch on the Isle of Wight signing copies

The book was published on the 16th September 2024 and it was launched at the MGF Register National event on the Isle of Wight the following week with a short talk and book-signing. A captive audience meant that most attending went home with a copy! A second signing took place at the MGCCSE Autumn Gathering at Borde Hill Gardens and The Fairmile Natter where Tim was giving a talk on a different subject. Books will continue to be available at South East events and Tim is happy to sign them for you.
