The 2024 MG Car Club South East’s Autumn Naviscat takes place on
Sunday 6th October 2024.
What is it?
- A Naviscat is a type of simple car rally, effectively a step up from a Treasure Hunt.
- The aim is to navigate using an Ordnance Survey map to different locations across the beautiful Kent countryside and find and answer clues which are worth points. Highest number of points WINS!!
- Organised by the South East Centre of the MG Car Club, under Motorsport UK regulations, this event is a great introduction to club motorsport in your car.
- Naviscats are not a speed-based event and take place on public roads
- There are awards for novices and for different categories of vehicle which allow a mixture of modern, classic and vintage cars to take part.
- This event will also form part of the Inter Register Club’s championship.
Am I eligible to take part?
- This rally is categorised as a ‘taster event’ where we invite you to come and give it a go.
- All drivers must have appropriate Road Traffic Act insurance cover for the vehicle taking part. You must at all times comply with the Road Traffic Act but you may need to check with your insurer.
- No modifications are required to your vehicle to take part but the vehicle must be road legal.
- Drivers should hold a full UK driving licence and be a minimum of 18 years old.
- Navigators should be able to read a 1:50000 scale Ordnance Survey Map. NO satnavs or other electronic direction-finding devices are permitted. Minimum age for Navigators is 12 and children older than 2 may be carried in approved seats.
- Drivers and Navigators are required to hold a Motorsport UK Clubman Licence available FREE online at: https://www.motorsport.org/competitors/rs-clubman-licence/
- No spectators are allowed as part of the event but you are welcome to bring along passengers. There will be a point deduction for vehicles with 3 or more occupants.
N.B. All entries do need to be booked in advance and spaces are limited!!
Where is it?
- The rally will start at The Coblands Garden Centre Cafe, A25, Sundridge, Kent TN14 6AA. Hot drinks and bacon rolls etc may be purchased here.
- The finish pub is The Little Brown Jug, High Street, Chiddingstone Causeway, Kent TN11 8J. This pub has an excellent reputation and we are booked in from 2.30pm.
As this is a “Taster” event you don’t have to be a member of the MGCC or a Motorsport UK affiliated club to enter this!
How do I enter?
To enter click the button below. Read the rules/regulations and then complete the online form. Then press the TO PAY button and pay online. You will receive an event ticket by email and closer to the date you will receive an email with final instructions.
Entry is £12 per car and there is a £1 booking fee from the Little Box Office.
